Symbol of Technological and Environmental Activities

Osaka, Japan - May 20, 2008 - Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. (President & CEO: Kenji Nakakura) hereby announces that it has renewed its design for "Tecology," the symbol mark which stands for "Toyo technology and ecology" and has been used on only a portion of its products so far. We at Toyo Tire have positioned "Tecology" as a symbol of the technological and environmental activities in the entire Group, and are going to use it to underscore our corporate stance of aspiring to the harmonization of technology and environmental considerations.
