Vigouroux Takes Start in Palace Square

Eric Vigouroux drove his Chevrolet Pro Truck up the starting podium to wild cheers and applause. The truck, running Toyo Tires, was the first competitor car to take to the podium as with race number 200, Vigouroux is the lead car.

A crowd of excited Russians packed Palace Square in St Petersburg to see the racers off on the start of their epic voyage. Unsurprizingly, Russian Truck team Kamaz got the biggest cheer but with his 5.5 metre long Pro Truck, Vigouroux  cut an imposing image on the podium.

Eric's race begins proper tomorrow with a 6.19AM start and 836km to go to reach Rogatchevo.
