On the startline at the Merdeka 12h Race

Toyo Tire & Rubber Co.,Ltd. will be at the Merdeka Millennium Endurance Race 2009 this weekend. The race takes place at the Sepang F1 circuit in Malaysia and team “Lammertink Racing with TOYO TIRES” will be using the latest development spec slick and wet tires for the race.
Lammertink Racing with TOYO TIRES are a professional race team based in the Netherlands who race Porsche cars and assist with the development of TOYO TIRES slick and wet race tires. Their Porsche 996 GT3 race car will be equipped for the race with Proxes RS1 in the dry and Proxes RR1 for the rain. The car will use 245/640 R18 front and 285/680 R18 rear for the race.
The tenth edition of the Millennium Endurance Race takes place this week from August 6 to 8, 2009. It is one of only a limited number of 12h endurance races in Asia. As a result, a number of teams from Europe and Asia including Japan join the race every year.
Lammertink Racing & Engineering will participate in further races in 2009 and 2010 using their Porsche 997 GT3 (below) equipped with TOYO TIRES.

Driver Line Up
Tom Coronel
Tom is an experienced tire development driver and competitive racer. He has won the Japanese Formula 3 and Formula-Nippon championships as well as wins in Super GT. Currently a successful driver in World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) and Le Mans 1000km Series.
Takayuki Kinoshita
Takayuki has abundant experience in Super GT and Super Endurance races. A regular at the Nürburgring 24h, he has participated in more races than any other Japanese driver. A popular journalist, Takayuki is a frequent contributor in the motoring press as well as one of the selectors of “Car of the Year”.
Henk Haane
Henk is a Dutch driver who has wide experience in FIA-GT3, GT in Netherlands, Touring Car and Endurance races. He has already won a GT championship this year.
Yasushi Kikuchi
Yasushi is the team’s reserve driver. His experience includes competing in Super GT, Super Endurance and the Nürburgring 24h.
