TOYO TIRES chosen for range topping Audi TT RS model

Osaka, Japan – July 27, 2010 - Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. (President and CEO: Kenji Nakakura) announces that Toyo Proxes T1 Sport (R01) tires have been chosen by AUDI AG to be the exclusive standard fitment to Audi TT RS model.

The new 255/35 R 19 96Y Proxes T1 Sport is the ideal tire for the most powerful Audi TT RS model. With outstanding handling and aerodynamics, coupled to a 340ps engine, the Audi TT RS requires an exceptional tire.

Proxes T1 Sport (R01) features exceptional wet and dry handling, class leading braking and precise steering allowing Audi TT RS drivers to enjoy the ultimate driving experience.

Proxes T1 Sport will be the exclusive tire of the Audi TT RS from late April. This iconic car, fitted with TOYO TIRES, will be available worldwide in European, US and Asian markets.

I still can't believe the amount of traction we had and how the tire lasted the massive climb to the top with 156 corners up to 14,000 feet in elevation not to mention fitted on our crazy 2023 Mazda 3 with a 1400h 4 rotor Twin Turbo and RWD conversion running NO traction control, ABS or any type of assists.
