First Full Season Starts for AC Milan Sponsorship

Toyo Tires first full season commences with convincing win against Lazio.

Toyo Tire & Rubber Co., Ltd. (Akira Nobuki, president) announces the start of a series of branding initiatives through their support of AC Milan as a Premium Sponsor.

Kicking off at the start of the Serie A Italian football league 2014-2015 season from August 30, the company's first full season of sponsorship started with a convincing 3-1 win over Lazio. They now occupy the top spot in Serie A after week one with Roma and Udinese level on points but with fewer goals scored.

In April 2014, Toyo Tires became the first Japanese company to sign a Premium Sponsorship agreement with AC Milan. The football club boasts a global following of fans from around the world and will become an important source of branding content as Toyo Tires continues to expand its business globally. The 2014-2015 season will be Toyo Tires’ first full season with AC Milan since concluding the partnership, and the company will unveil a number of activities showcasing their partnership with the football powerhouse.


Toyo Tires has already held an art competition from August 13 that presented official AC Milan smartphone covers to 100 winners in celebration of the start of Serie A league campaign. The promotion ended on August 29, receiving around 1,900 entries.


Toyo Tires also plans to invite some lucky fans to attend the game and provide firsthand reports of the Milan Derby with Inter Milan on November 23. The December 14 match with Napoli will also see Toyo Tires presented as match sponsor for the day. For this match, Toyo Tires will have additional branding around the San Silo Stadium, AC Milan’s home venue.

Toyo Tires will also actively utilise content featuring AC Milan across its marketing collateral. In addition to developing and launching a collection of original novelty items, the company is also producing video content highlighting AC Milan’s star players.
