For the Legal Department at our Willich Headquarter near Düsseldorf, we are looking for an:

Inhouse Lawyer (w/m/d)

Your responsibilities:

• Give accurate and timely counsel to executives in a variety of legal topics (labor law, international contract, partnerships, etc.)
• Collaborate with management to devise efficient defence strategies for example "in litigation matters and potential claims against the Company"
• Establish, monitor, operate and maintain internal governance policies and compliance
• Evaluate risk factors regarding business decisions and suggest solution.
• Apply effective risk management techniques and offer proactive advise on possible legal issues
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties (regulators, external counsel, public authorities etc.), creating relations of trust
• Draft, review contracts and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights
• Provide clarification on legal language or specifications to everyone in the organization
• Maintain current knowledge of alterations in legislation
• Report to legal manager
• Conduct your work with integrity and requirements

Your knowledge and experience:

• You have several years of well-founded professional experience as a Legal Counsel in business environment
• for at least 2 years
• Excellent knowledge and understanding of contractual matters, corporate law and procedures
• Demonstrated ability to create strategies proactively to defend and ensure the company's legal position
• Sound judgement and ability to analyse legal situations and information
• Confident handling of MS Office 
• Outstanding communication skills
• Fluent German and business fluent English
• High degree of professional ethics and integrity
